Birthdays

Some people make resolutions on New Years, I make mine on my birthday.  In many of the past years I would look myself in the mirror and vow that the best way to make my life better would be to purge all my dresses and lingerie and "man up".  Sometimes I even tried it ... but we all know how that goes!!

This morning, I woke up slipped into my favorite dress and heels, brushed on just enough makeup to feel pretty and took care of all my morning chores.  I made my lunch and even made an appointment for a makeover!!  This year I decided I would be a little more of who I am rather than who everyone sees me to be.  Happy Birthday to me!!!

(Alas .. time to hit the shower, don my flnnels and construction boots and go back to my other life.  But definitely a nice start to my birthday!!)
