I am a post-op transsexual women, looking for advice from other TS gals. I am retired and living near the Fox River about 30 miles west of Chicago. I earned degrees in the life sciences, but spent most of my career as a computer programmer. I was married for several years to man who died of lung cancer three years ago. I am still in the dating pool because I enjoy relationships with men and am happiest as part of a couple. I am not an activist, preferring to blend into the community.

Books: I read a lot of science fiction when I was younger. My favorite books were Isaac Asimov’s Foundation trilogy.

Movies: I love movies of all kinds. I’ve probably seen thousands of films and have around 300 DVDs.

Television: I’ve actually seen all 456 episodes of Law and Order. Did I mention that I’m retired?

Music: Music is my other passion. I like everything from Mozart to Boston, Beethoven to Patsy Cline to Enya. Over the years I’ve acquired a nice audio system to listen to my CDs.

Interests: I’m trying to learn how to take great pictures with my Canon G16 camera. It’s not as easy as pointing my iPhone.
I like to hear live music at places like the Arcada Theater in St. Charles. They book classic rock acts (some I thought were dead) and tribute bands. I also like the occasional classical music event at a nearby high energy physics facility, Fermi Lab.
